Prof. John van Genderen is one of the founding members of ISDE. He is an Emeritus Professor of Remote Sensing at the University of Twente, Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (lTC). With over 50 years of experience in education and research, he has worked in more than 140 countries around the world. He is a distinguished figure in geo-information and earth observation, making substantial contributions to the advancement of remote sensing technologies, particularly in the fields of sustainable development and environmental monitoring. He has been actively involved in research, education, and training programs focused on geo-information science and its applications in earth observation.
