According to the newly released 2024 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), the International Journal of Digital Earth (IJDE) has received a new impact factor of 4.9. It now ranks 10th out of 67 journals in Geography, Physical (Q1), and 14th out of 65 in Remote Sensing (Q1).
The Big Earth Data Journal (BEDJ) has also received its latest impact factor of 3.8, ranking 86th out of 258 in Computer Science, Information Systems (Q2), 56th out of 258 in Geosciences, Multidisciplinary (Q1), and 24th out of 65 in Remote Sensing (Q2).
The International Journal of Digital Earth is the first peer-reviewed international journal focusing on the theories, technologies, applications and societal implications of Digital Earth. It was launched by the International Society for Digital Earth and jointly published by Taylor & Francis Group under the sponsorship of the Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was accepted for coverage in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) in 2009, 18 months since its publication, and has been indexed by 15 large databases worldwide by now.

Big Earth Data (BEDJ) is an interdisciplinary open access academic journal jointly published in December 2017 by the International Society for Digital Earth, International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals, Aerospace Information Research Institute - Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Taylor & Francis Group. The Editor-in-Chief is Prof. Huadong Guo.
BEDJ aims to provide an efficient and high-quality platform for promoting the sharing, processing, and analyses of Earth-related big data, thereby revolutionizing the cognition of the Earth’s systems. The journal publishes a wide range of content, including Research Articles, Review Articles, Data Notes, Technical Notes, and Perspective Articles. As a pioneer in supporting Open Science, BEDJ adheres to the principles of open and FAIR data and research software. The journal is now indexed in ESCI, Scopus, EI, Inspec, and CSCD.
