ISDE Vice President Honored with Peter Woodgate Award

On April 7, Dr. Zaffar Sadiq Mohamed-Ghouse, Vice President of ISDE, was presented with the Special Award, Peter Woodgate Award at the Locate 2025 Conference in Brisbane, Australia, for his outstanding efforts in continuing the legacy of the late Dr. Peter Woodgate and his significant contributions to the global geospatial community.

The Peter Woodgate Award is a prestigious honor jointly presented by the Australia Urban Research Infrastructure Network (AURIN) and the Geospatial Council of Australia (GCA). Named after one of Australia's most respected geospatial scientists, the late Dr. Peter Woodgate, the award is one of the highest awards in the Australian spatial industry, celebrating the values of collaboration, leadership, and innovation that were Dr. Woodgate's hallmarks.
