TRAVEL AWARD FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS

Announcement of winners

The ISDE Young Scientist Committee received 21 abstracts as application for travel award for young scientists, competition for 7th DES 2018. Later 5 applicants sent all necessary information and full papers. All papers that we received are sent by very good researches, and all the authors are appreciated for their participation to this competition.

A jury team was formed by the ISDE Young Scientist Committee members and the full papers have been reviewed carefully by the international Digital Earth experts from ISDE. The jury evaluated the papers and application documents and with unanimity voted for 2 awards: one for participant from Africa and second one – for other continents:

1.       Liezl Mari Vermeulen from South Africa with a paper entitled “A Novel Approach to Deriving Land Use Productivity using Google Earth Engine”;

2.       Zhang Fengyuan from China with a paper entitled “Study on a Service Container for Sharing and Reusing Geo-analysis Models in the Web Environment”.

The winners are approved by the President of ISDE.
