Professor at the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT). He was director of Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs. Permanent Professor-Advisor of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs in Biodiversity and Amazonian Agroecosystems (UNEMAT), National Network on Water Resources Management and Regulation (UNEMAT-UNESP) and Environmental Sciences (UFMT). PhD and Master in Agronomy (State University of Maringá-UEM/National Institute for Space Research-INPE) and Engineer-Agronomist (State University of Mato Grosso do Sul-UEMS). He is an ad-hoc reviewer of scientific journals, such as Land Use Policy, Agronomy Journal, Remote Sensing Letters, Sensors, Remote Sensing, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation, International Journal of Digital Earth, Land Degradation & Development, Scientific Reports and Scientific Data (Nature). He is special issue editor at Big Earth Data and Sustainability. He is coordinator of the lab. GAAF (http://pesquisa.unemat.br/gaaf/) and the SojaMaps-SpaceAgro platforms. He works mainly in the area of Environmental Sciences in the following subjects: multi and hyperspectral remote sensing, time-series, vegetation indices, geo-object oriented analysis and monitoring of the Earth's surface and its climatic influence.
