Professor at the Chouaib Doukkali University (www.ucd.ac.ma ) since 1991.

Head of the research unit "Geosciences & Remote Sensing". Holder of doctoral dissertation Es-Sciences (1998), from Chouaib Doukkali University (Morocco); and a PhD from the University of Pau (France) in 1991. Visiting Professor at the Universities of Nantes (France).

President of the African Association of Remote Sensing of the Environment (AARSE) and Ambassador, in Morocco, of IEEE-GRSS for the MENA region. He is a member of the DBAR Working Group on Water Resources (DBAR-water WG), and director of the International Center of Excellence on Water Resources created under the DBAR program.

Expert / consultant in feasibility studies and technical reports for the World Bank, African Union Commission and the African Academy of Sciences.  Peer Reviewer of the international programs GMES and Africa (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security in Africa), implemented under the coordination of the commission of the African Union with the support of the European Commission.

He initiated and led several research projects focused on remote sensing applications in geoscience and involving a large network of international partners. He has supervised several memoirs of Master's and Doctoral Thesis. Author and co-author of numerous publications and scientific papers
