Call for Nominations for ISDE Council Members

The International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE), established in May 2006 in Beijing, is a world leading non-governmental international organization devoting to the development of Digital Earth knowledge and technologies and exploring the vision of Digital Earth in our changing world. ISDE is a participating organization of the Group on Earth Observations, and an affiliated member of the International Science Council. Since the first International Symposium on Digital Earth was convened in Beijing in November 1999, up to now 10 international Symposia on Digital Earth and 7 Digital Earth summits have been organized in 11 countries around the world by the ISDE and its former body. In addition, ISDE published two journals, International Journal of Digital Earth, and Big Earth Data. The activities of ISDE aims to fulfil its mission of benefiting the society by promoting the development and realization of Digital Earth.

In order to strengthen the ISDE international leadership and to have a wide coverage of Digital Earth research fields and geographical representatives, the ISDE Bureau initiates the process to call for candidates for ISDE Council Members.
